This could be the most, emotionally, useful tip. Every time we move there is a moment, or several, where I think that there is NO WAY our new city/place/state/etc. will feel like home. There is usually a meltdown involved, but eventually I get things settled like curtains on the windows and pictures on the walls, and I feel so much better about our new home.
Home, is exactly what I need and every new place we live feels like someone else’s home….until we make it our own. That is what I have been up to the past few weeks, making curtains and hanging up pictures and things to feel at home here in Missoula.
Moving like we have, is most likely why the “stuff” I put on our walls is unique. Each item has been collected over time, some hand made, some craft projects by myself or a friend, some from stores around the country but all of it reminds me of where we have been.

“You know the crap in your home is so random, none of it goes together which should drive me nuts, but in your house it works” so said a good friend back at Ft. Bliss. I couldn’t agree with her more! Mostly I am just glad to be feeling better about living in Montana, and more at home in our home.
