What could be better than cinnamon? Well this time of year it is one of my favorites, like pumpkin and apple cider, fall would just not be the same without cinnamon. That is why I love cinnamon milk coffee, it is a perfect addition to my Fall favorites, plus it is simple!
Cinnamon Milk Coffee (Latte):
- Double strength coffee
- 3-4 cinnamon sticks
- Sugar (to taste)
For directions making double strength coffee, see this post. I used a great dark roast from Mt. Whitney Coffee Roasters for mine, and it was delicious! Then, to make Cinnamon Milk Coffee begin heating up milk on the stove slowly. Burnt milk does not taste yummy, so make sure you stir it slowly.
While your heating the milk put the cinnamon sticks in there with it. You want to bring this to a slow boil, not a full rolling boil, and it will need to be stirred the whole time. If you choose to stir the milk with a whisk, you will end up with some foam, for presentation by the end of the boiling time.
How much milk and coffee? Equal amounts. I would go ahead and do enough for a few servings, this is so delicious with the hint of cinnamon that I usually brew up 2-3 cups of coffee and heat the same amount of milk.
Putting it all together. Place your double strength coffee and milk in equal amounts into your cup, place one of the cinnamon sticks in there, add sugar to your taste preference and a little cinnamon sprinkle on top for decoration. I prefer very little sugar with this, while Hubs would put 2 full tablespoons into the small cup in the photo. We are very different people when it comes to coffee. Either way, cinnamon and coffee are a hit in our home!
