Simple, Easy, Delicious, Fabulous…. Sounds like an amazing way to describe dinner right? With Gorton’s Seafood, that dinner is easier than ever.
Gorton’s Seafood has been in business since 1949. That is a lot of years in the fish business! They go beyond the frozen fish sticks, which we love in our home, to provide seafood in many different ways. For example crispy or grilled shrimp, grilled tilapia even beer battered fillets. Check out all of the Gorton’s Seafood products on their website.
We have been trying out a few of the Gorton’s Seafood items and tonight we had Gorton’s Shrimp Poppers with a Smokey Orange Glaze (recipe below). Which turned out great! Hubs gobbled it up quick but I did manage to snag a photo before it was all gone. Hubs is already planning to use the glaze on the fish sandwich fillets. He really liked it.
For this Smokey Orange Glaze Recipe you will need:
1 medium orange – squeezed (or about 1/2 cup orange juice)
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp garlic
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
3 tbs butter
While your oven is preheating for the shrimp poppers, put the orange juice, spices and butter into a saucepan and bring to a simmer. Continue to simmer on low while you bake the shrimp popper stirring occasionally. We are reducing the sauce by simmering it, the end result should be a delicious glaze in about 10 minutes. Just enough time to bake the shrimp poppers.
I pulled the Gorton’s Shrimp Poppers out of the oven and tossed them into the pan with the glaze, but putting the sauce on the side and dipping them would be delicious as well.
