Love Notes Jar for Valentine’s Day

Love Notes Jar for Valentine’s Day

I love Valentine’s Day, and I love creating fun crafts and things for it almost as much as I enjoy crafting at Christmas time.  So when Oriental Trading Company sent me some of their seasonal goodies, I was so excited!  I love this quick project that I came up with, and you are going to love this one too, because it is so simple and everyone in the house can help with it.

Ok, so the idea wasn’t completely mine, I got some inspiration from a good friend and fellow blogger over at Our Army Life According to the Wife.  She made this awesome happy jar, and it inspired me to make a love jar of my own for Hubs.

Love Note Jar Craft

     Making this jar:

was simple because of a great item from Oriental Trading Company. They had the jar, with the premade chalkboard paint area on it!  Genius!  Inside is a whole bunch of reasons saying why I love Hubs and funny things he does that make me love him more, like making awesome coffee.

The strips were easy to cut, because of the designs on the scrapbook paper.  The paper is the smaller square 6″ ones, which worked out nicely for my love notes.  The front of the jar has a chalkboard area that wipes of easily, so you can write whatever you want on it.

Items I used for this Love Note Jar:
Chalkboard Candy Jar
Red Monochromatic Paper Pack

The chalkboard candy jar is glass, and not super thick so I would not personally recommend this be used where small children could reach it but it is perfect for what I am using it for.  Plus it will look very pretty in our dining room hutch after Valentine’s Day.  I only used a few sheets of paper, 1 of each design to be exact.  So there will be plenty left over for other projects before Valentine’s Day.  You will have to just wait and see what I come up with next.

*Disclosure*  I was provided with the products mentioned above, free of charge, for this craft post, I was not paid in any form and my opinions are my own.
