Raising My White Flag

Raising My White Flag

Last week was spring break for Hubs and his classes.  It should have been a great week to relax but he brought home a nasty cold so it was less than ideal for him.

Day 1: He started getting sick on Tuesday evening and was past the worst of it by the weekend.  At that point I thought I was in the clear, because I wasn’t sick at all.

Day 7: Monday I woke up for work with a cough, not too bad and went to work as usual but Tuesday is when the fun began.  Hubs’ sinus cold turned into a stomach bug just before 6am.  It was ugly and I will spare you the details. Hubs stayed home Tuesday and Wednesday.  I ended up feeling terrible from the sinus chest congestion yuck, and came home early on Wednesday. Fever, fevers and more fevers.  We were a mess Wednesday evening.

Day 10: Thursday I thought we were rounding the corner and headed towards a better feeling day, but ROTC send Hubs home around lunch time because he was basically living in the bathroom.  On the other hand, I was feeling a bit better and worked my normal hours outside of our home.

Day 11: I am done, I am home from work with round 2 of yuck has taken over this house.

I am raising my white flag, and surrendering to the crud that is going around our home.

I will be back to blogging as soon as I bleach and lysol every surface in our home.

  1. Oh, no! I hope that you all heal up and feel better soon. The illness that never leaves is no fun at all.

  2. I hope you and your family feel better soon. Notice worst than having a bug go around.

  3. I hope you two get feeling better quickly!

  4. I am so sorry to hear your still sick. I wish I was closer so I could help! Hugs from ma!! I love you!

  5. Oh no! I hope you feel better soon! Take care of yourself!

  6. Ugh! Hope you guys are getting better soon! My kiddos have some viral thing that hit tummies first and is now the sinus/cold/congestion stuff. No fun!

  7. I totally feel your pain! Whatever it is that’s going around has been jumping from person to person through our house for what seems like weeks and I’m just ready for it to be over already!! Good luck on a speedy recovery!

  8. Oh friend- I’m sorry you’re having such a rough time – hopefully you all will be on the mend soon. :-)

  9. good luck on your house cleaning!

  10. I really hope that you have all recovered from this over the weekend and are off to a good start to a new week! Take good care xx

  11. I feel for you– hate when it gets passed back and forth. We have someone managed to get through this winter without any major bouts of crud, knock on wood. Sometimes, surrendering early is the best thing you can do to get it over with ASAP. Hope you feel better soon.

  12. I hope you feel better soon! There isn’t anything worse than being sick!

  13. It really stinks not feeling well on days off!
