Go Big Red!  Yay Huskers!

Ok, now that I got that out of my system I need to tell you about my latest discovery.  Jamberry Nail Wraps!  I was on Facebook the other day, looking at the page devoted to my favorite team, the Nebraska Cornhuskers when in a comment I saw someone post a photo of Nebraska themed nails.  Now I love anything Husker themed, I have a Husker wall, and even a Husker rock for outside that has lived in several rivaling states.  So when I discovered these nail wraps I needed them!!!!!

I contacted my great friend Kandi, Gluten Free for Jen, and told her about them and how we NEEEEEEDED to find them!  Of course, she agreeded and we both headed out on the search which is how I found Carrie Merrell,(sponsor) a Jamberry Rep who should be on my Christmas Card list because of the awesomeness that she sent me to try out.

I received 2 sets or wraps, Nebraska themed and Fire Engine Red. Along with a manicure set and the little heater that makes putting on the wraps super simple.  Now I am not a detailed person, and I do not read directions which can make trying new things difficult but Carrie also sent me a video to make the application process easy to understand.

The first time I tried Jamberry Nail Wraps was with a sample, because I did not want to mess up my Husker themed wraps on my first try.  I followed the video instructions and put on 2 wraps, one on each hand then painted the other nails with some regular polish I had around the house.  The result was very pretty but I was impatient waiting for the polish to dry.  The wraps were on and set in just a few seconds, and after filing I was ready to go but the polish was still wet.  Luckily I do use the quick drying nail polish but it still took a while to dry on a humid day.

We got to chatting one day, via email, about why she became a Jamberry Rep:

My husband is an air traffic controller for the FAA which is not the same as being in the military because he does have the option to quit and will never get deployed overseas but is similar in that he has to work whatever hours they tell him to which is not 9-5 weekdays and we might have to move just about anywhere in the US with an airport at any time. An office job wasn’t working out for me in the same way I imagine it isn’t ideal for a lot of military spouses. I like being able to set my own hours (like right now… Sunday afternoon on a holiday weekend and my husband is working until 10:30 tonight and starts at 6:30 tomorrow morning so we have no non-work plans), do most of my work online, and I don’t have to keep any inventory.

The second time I used Jamberry Wraps I did a full set!  Huskers on my thumbs and red on all of my fingers.  I am in love!  I can cheer on my team all week long!

So far, out of the 2 full sets of wraps that I received, I have used less than half of the Nebraska version and about 2/3rds of the red.  I have done 2 complete sets so far and they have each lasted well over a week!  I will be cheering on my Huskers with Nebraska nails for the rest of the season!  #GoBigRed #JamberryNails
