I have been reading a lot of books this fall. Hubs is in school and when he does homework, I take some time to sit down and do a bit of reading. If I turn on the tv it is distracting to him, so I I have been reading. 10 books since the beginning of fall semester to be exact, and I am really enjoying it!
Reading is my down-time, I can just sit back and enjoy a good book without worrying about dishes and laundry and everything else that is on my to-do list for the day. The latest book I have been reading is It’s In His Kiss by Jill Shalvis. It is part of her Lucky Harbor series of books.
It’s In His Kiss arrived last week, but I was in the middle of reading another book. I put It’s In His Kiss down and waited till this week to start it.
One Kiss Can Last Forever
Becca Thorpe has uprooted her life and escaped to the beach. Now’s her chance to get away from city living, throw caution to the ocean winds, and live in the moment. Especially if the moment includes the deliciously sexy surfer she meets shortly after arriving in Lucky Harbor. Something about the dark intensity of Sam’s eyes and the thrill she gets at his touch convinces her to stay awhile.
Boatbuilder and investment genius Sam Brody is a self-made man who knows how dangerous it can be to mix business and pleasure. But he can’t resist offering Becca a job just to hear her laugh and have her near. Yet when her brother comes to town asking for help, will he tempt her back to her glamorous life in the city? Or do Sam and little Lucky Harbor have a chance to win Becca’s heart? – from JillShalvis.com
This is the first time I have read a book by author Jill Shalvis, so I have not read the other Lucky Harbor books. Reading It’s In His Kiss it was not necessary to read the rest of the series to enjoy this book, which is always nice when starting a new series or trying out a new author.
I enjoyed reading It’s In His Kiss. It is a love story, which I always enjoy reading and is set right on the ocean in a quaint little town that reminds me a lot of home. Well minus the ocean, we do not have much ocean front property back in Nebraska. I am looking forward to reading more books by Jill Shalvis including the rest of the Lucky Harbor novels.
What have you been reading lately?
*disclosure* I received this book free of charge for the purposes of this review. I was not paid for my opinion or compensated in any other form.
