It couldn’t be a Caffeinated Roadtrip, without visiting a few coffee shops along the way. While we were in Colorado Springs, we visited 3 local coffee shops, with 3 different groups of friends, and enjoyed each one.
Colorado Springs Coffee Shops:
The Sweet Elephant – Located in Old Colorado City, this coffee shop had a delicious Mocha Latte, and was also the location where 4 of us painted our owl pictures.
Mission Coffee – This coffee shop is on the North end of Colorado Springs, near Bass Pro Shops and it turned into a perfect spot to meet a great friend. We had a lot of time to get together and chat over a Carmel Praline Latte before bowling. The drink was good, but not something I would normally order that early in the morning. I did love their brewed coffee, and picked up a bag to bring home with us.
Pikes Perk – With 2 locations in town, one on the North and the other more centrally located its easy to find good coffee. We headed here on our 3rd day in Colorado Springs after a long day of shopping, to meet with another friend that I use to work with. She also went bowling with us, so I got to see her twice. In a short trip, that is a luxury.
I love trying new coffee shops, in every city we visit and these 3 did not disappoint at all. They are all local to Colorado Springs, and worth a stop on your next trip to town. Be sure to follow all of the Caffeinated Roadtrip adventures, to see what we find in our next city.
