The 3rd full day of our Caffeinated Roadtrip kept us in Colorado Springs visiting friends and family. We all wanted to do something together and with a wide range of ages we ended up at the Colorado Springs Bass Pro Shop. This location houses more than the store, but an Archery Range as well as Uncle Bucks’s Fishbowl & Grill.
Bowling and dining like you’ve never experienced. Our “Under the Sea” experience restaurant offers not only great food, but 16 bowling lanes as well.
I was not sure what to expect, I have been to a lot of Bass Pro Shops all over the country. Hubs had never been into a Bass Pro Shop before so we wondered around and saw all of the displays, and the fish aquarium. We even found a bear taller than Hubs, while he was wearing his Grizzly t-shirt.
Walking into Uncle Buck’s Fishbowl feels like your walking through a really old wooden ship. There was a great statue out front where we took a group photo on our way out.
It opens up to the shoe rental area, and the bar with a great big shipwreck overhead, and fish swimming around all over the ceiling.
The kids were excited, about the sharks and alligator ball returns! I think each of them gave a shark or alligator a hug before we left.
We had a lot of fun. I am a horrible bowler, and ended up with a fantastic score of 32 in the first game. I was actually pretty impressed with it, since it could have been 0. Next time we go back I am asking for bumpers, just so I can get a photo of a great score next to my name.
