Thankfulness 2013: Day 26

I am thankful that my Caffeinated Mama and my Gramita took the time to teach me how to cook some of my favorite dishes.  From breads and desserts, to big family meals it all started with them teaching me and showing me how important it is to cook for your family.      They taught me that you don't have to be a fantastic chef to create a special meal, that everyone will enjoy and remember.      I still cannot cook pancakes, or make a frosting rose but I can cook a delicious turkey and Continue reading

Cheesy Corn Casserole Recipe; Perfect for Holidays

Photo from Here      Does your family have a favorite dish for Holiday meals?  Our's does, it is Cheesy Corn Casserole!  And it is delicious, seriously just yummy yummy goodness!  It makes me excited for Holiday dinners.      One reason I love this dish, is the simplicity.  It is easy to make, and can be cooked in the slow cooked or the oven.  Who does not love that!?!  I love this baked in the oven, but I cook it in a crock pot more often than not, because our oven is always full on big Continue reading

I am so thankful that Hubs family has welcomed me into their lives.  Not everyone can say they feel loved or even liked by their in-laws but I can and for that I will always be thankful.      We spend this afternoon at his Great Great Aunts memorial service, where they celebrated her incredible life.  She was in her 90's, and had served as an Army Nurse during WWII.  She later married and had children and grandchildren but she seemed to leave a special piece of her heart with everyone who Continue reading

Thankfulness 2013: Day 15 #ThirtyDaysofThanks

I am thankful to be in the beautiful state of Montana with Hubs.  Growing up, I never imagined I would live here, but here we are!     Montana is so very different from where I grew up.  Nebraska is full of corn fields, crazy football fans and is a place I will always love.  While Nebraska will always be a place I refer to as "home" it is not the only place that gets the endearing title.  Colorado is on that list and Montana is getting there.      Being here, in Missoula Montana, has Continue reading
