Project 52 – Reflection

Project 52 – Reflection

This week's theme for Project 52 is Reflection.  I thought about getting the camera out and taking a reflection photo on purpose, but instead I decided that I would do something a bit different.  Instead of taking a new picture, I wanted to share an one from the past.  One of my many projects, that I love to do. This coffee mug project was super simple - making it.  Photographing it - Not simple at all.  Problem one, my background had a pattern and I noticed the pattern was not straight about Continue reading

Project 52 – Negative Space

Project 52 – Negative Space

Welcome to another week of Project 52.  Each week has a single theme, a photograph and a goal: to keep improving.  I have had some awesome weeks along this 52 week journey, and some weeks that are just blank.  It's been a fun project and I am glad that I have not given up even with a few weeks missed.    The hosts Amy, Sarah, and Angie have picked the themes for the year.  This week's theme is Negative SpaceThis photo is taken under Flathead Animal Crossing along Hwy 93 on the Flathead Indian Continue reading

Project 52 – Week 36: Pattern

I am back this week with Project 52, where the hosts pick a theme and we all come up with an original photo to go with the theme.  I have not kept up as much as I would have liked but this week just worked out perfectly. It really ends up being perfect, in a way that I wish I had planned it but I didn't which makes it even more fun really.  I was taking a photo to post to my personal Facebook account to show someone back in Colorado how a table project turned out. Project 52 Photos – Colorful

Welcome to another week of Project 52 Photos!   Our hosts Marvelous Mommy, Sarah, and Angie picked the theme of the week as Colorful.  Once I realized this week's theme, I kinda wished I had used last weeks photo, for this week.  But alas, I did not and so I was searching for a photo for this week. I was wanting a beautiful colorful sunset, or flowers etc.   But it is August, in Montana and it is fire season along with an unusually dry and over-heated summer here has left us a bit uncolorful. #Project52Photos Week 29

#Project52Photos Week 29

I am back with this week's Project 52 photo challenge!  This week's theme is Long Exposure and that is something I am just starting to experiment with.  Usually my long exposure photos come out horribly blurry or pure white but I did have a great happy accident a while back. This photo was taken in a building on Fort Missoula that was used for burning sawdust in the old saw mill here in Missoula.  It was so dark that I could only get a blackish photo until I tried the long exposure, and came Continue reading
