Breakfast Pizza: Dinner Ideas!

Hubs loves breakfast for dinner, and so do I but I do get tired of the same thing like pancakes or scrambled eggs.  So the other night, looking in the fridge I decided to get creative and make a breakfast pizza.  Cant be that hard right?  Pizza is just dough, sauce and toppings!  Here's how I made ours! What I used:Pizza Dough: either your favorite type or a packaged one, whichever works for youSausage Gravy - I used the instant kind, but a homemade one would be even betterFarmhouse Pork and Continue reading

Nesco 4-1 Pressure Cooker & Pork Shoulder Recipe

Nesco 4-1 Pressure Cooker & Pork Shoulder Recipe

Kitchen appliances and gadgets are fun, and useful but they can take up a lot of space.  So, when I find one that can do more than 1 function I take notice.  The Nesco 4 in 1 Pressure Cooker does so much more than just pressure cooking.  It can brown/pressure cook/slow cook/steam and perfectly cook your rice!  When I say perfectly cook your rice....I mean it!  Rice is one of those foods that I fail at cooking every single time, even instant!  That is not a problem for me any more. Summertime Soup?

Now, I am not a soup person. It's not that I dislike soup, but normally it just does not occur to me to make soup for a meal, even in the winter when it is cold out. So naturally, making soup in the summer when its over 100 outside almost NEVER happens, but today it did. When a friend and her family moved 2 weeks ago, she brought a lot of unopened pantry items to our house. Many of which I do not use on a regular basis, like Orzo. After googling a few different recipes, and not having all Continue reading

Coffee Marinated Pork

A few weeks ago, I came across a marinade for pork chops on Home Cooking Memories Blog and I've been wanting to try it ever since. She made a coffee marinade, without molasses, which I have never seen before. I was waiting to try this recipe for when the Hubs was home, but I am going to give it a try today, even though he is still away. I am changing it up a bit, just because I do not have some of the ingredients. Hopefully it is still tasty. Coffee Marinated Pork Tenderloin 2 cups brewed Continue reading
