EPCON: El Paso Comic Convention 2012

Ever have a moment in time where you look around and think, what the heck is going on and how did I end up in the middle of it?  Welcome to my thoughts at the EPCON 2012!  Where everything I saw/heard/etc was just slightly out of my normal realm and comfort zone.      Hubs and the Burning Lands/AMTGARD (LARPing) group had a demo, at the entrance to this years El Paso Comic Convention.  Which is how the idea of going to EPCON again this year came up, last year I won HUGE wifey points for Continue reading

Sand Sledding at White Sands National Monument! #milfam adventures

Today started out perfectly, a travel mug full of coffee and a caravan of cars filled with friends.  To me, that is a great way to start a Saturday.  We headed up to White Sands National Monument, which is just outside of Alamogordo, New Mexico (About 1.5 hours away).  Hubs and I have been up to White Sands, several times to go sand sledding, but our friends had not, which was why we decided to go again. White Sands National Monument Sand Sledding White sand as far as you Continue reading
